Grrrrr...Grrrrrr...Grrrrrrr.

No, it is not a growly gus, or any other such monster. It is just me growling in frustration. I feel like the fish in Finding Nemo...."bubble, bubbles, bubbles". I had a lapse in concentration, forgot to wait before putting these earrings in to "cook" and now I have permanent reminders of my forgetfulness. It wouldn't be that bad but, it is a waste of silver, and a WONDERFUL vintage dictionary page. Grrrrr........ *sigh*
Why do you all put up with me? I REALLY AM trying to come up with new designs! Bear with me....please?!
I am off to work on oxidizing, again, with eggs....wish me luck! Take care!

W.I.P.

Hello all! I have been making some earrings from recycled magazines here lately in the studio. They are still a work in progress (W.I.P.), as, well......I am not sure about them yet. Which is why I posted the pictures here for you all to see, because I need....REALLY need some feedback. I have received some great feedback from others on my Facebook page, but it still has not settled my thoughts on this new design. They are made with 15mm Sterling Silver bezel cups, recycled pages from magazines (these are Martha Stewart), resin, and handmade sterling earwires.

Please let me know what you think, as I am having some "difficulties", I guess you could say, with the way the magazine papers seem to change in color a few days after the resin cures.......I want to know if you all think they still look presentable. Thanks for any feedback you can give me!

Take care and have a great day! Go forth and create!

Warmly,

Leslie

Here She Is In All Her Gloriousness

New hair-do y'all!! I tried to blow dry it straight and this is what I got. Darn those curls! Don't ya just LOVE the picture of her with her back turned and her arms crossed with that cocked hip? What a poser! I mean seriously! I could just eat her up, new hair-do and all.

Thank You Notepourri!

Hello all! I ordered some new custom "Thank You" stickers from Notepourri on Etsy. They are beautiful! It was a wonderful transaction and Jenn is truly an extremely nice person! I also love to read her blog, and found a very sweet blog post with a little bit of me in it! Look HERE!

And here is a small preview of my new stickers. I chose #1 with my Etsy shop website added underneath. I will take some pictures soon of my new stickers in action.

On a more personal note. My 3 year old daughter Madelyn had her first haircut last Wednesday. My husbands cousin, Teresa, cut it for us. We thought it would be easier on Madelyn to take her to someone she knew, and of course she has seen daddy get his hair cut there before. We talked about it days in advance, and she was SOOO excited for the day to arrive. Daddy and I were under the weather with a nasty stomach bug. He was already on the upswing from it and I was just in the beginning stages. So, daddy took her all by himself and mommy missed out on her baby's first haircut......*tear*. Tim took some great pictures of her during the process and I need to take some of the "after" as her hair is SOOOO cute. It is this little ear-length bob that kind of resembles the "Great Gatsby Era".

She was such a great girl...what did I have to worry about? Look at her! What a trooper. Sometimes I think I don't give her enough credit! Even though she is 3 (almost 4).....I am still a new mommy. I hope that there are many more times like these to come! The days are long, but the years are short!
Enjoy!

New Items Slide Show

New Items to arrive in my Etsy shops. Yes! You heard me right! New Items and yes, again, there was a plural on shops! I opened a new Etsy shop just for my new obsession.......pendants! Check it our HERE. It is called Mad Maggie Pendants.....of course it is you are saying!

As a family, we are heading out of what I hope is the last of a 3 week quarantine in this house! Tim, Madelyn and Myself have all been victim to upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infection and a HORRIBLE stomach virus......and not all at one time. We have barely been overlapping each other. We have also been at each others throats....makes for such a nice household, but we are getting back to our normal selves. Please, please, please dear Lord....make this the END of our sick season, because there are not enough medications on the market to keep mommy from pulling her hair out! I will say once again. There is sickness and there is "Man Sickness", and you ladies out there know what I am talking about. Which is worse? Your 3 year old or your 35 year old husband sick??????? Hmmm? Rhetorical question as we know the answer!

Go forth and create everyone! Have a great day and an even better weekend! I will be back with pictures of Madelyn and her very first haircut very soon....I know! The festivities never end here! Take care! Much love!
